Receiving Associate

Position Summary:
The Receiving Associate is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming shipments. This role ensures inventory is handled correctly, stored safely, and recorded properly to support smooth warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive incoming shipments and verify items against purchase orders and delivery documents
• Inspect products for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues promptly
• Accurately record received inventory in the system
• Label, tag, and organize merchandise for storage or distribution
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, or forklifts (if certified)
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area
• Follow company procedures and safety guidelines at all times
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, inventory teams, and vendors as needed
• Assist with inventory counts and audits

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Previous warehouse, receiving, or inventory experience a plus
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to follow instructions and attention to detail
• Strong time management and organizational skills

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 40–50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse or stockroom environment

Work Environment:

• Warehouse, distribution center, retail stockroom
• May involve exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
