Receiving Associate

Due to tremendous growth, local family-owned Ashland company is seeking a processor in our receiving department.

Summary: Receives, inspects, takes pictures when necessary, and processes inbound inventory.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Counts, sorts, packages, takes pictures when necessary, and tags purchased inventory
• Unloads trucks with inbound inventory
• Utilizes warehouse inventory management system to ensure accountability of merchandise
• Places location boxes into the properly numbered rack space after processing is completed
• Meets productivity standards set by management
• Safely operates a forklift and other necessary equipment
• Maintains a safe, clean working environment
• Complies with the company's safety policies and procedures
• Cooperates with management and co-workers

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to safely operate a forklift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Proficient computer skills
• Acute attention to detail
• Accurately read, understand and write alpha-numeric sequences
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work with general direction and minimal guidance
• Ability to understand all safety requirements and regulations
• Commitment to excellence and high standards
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow
