Receiving Associate

POSITION SUMMARY

The Receiving Coordinator is responsible for the execution of inbound freight, receiving, product put-away, replenishment support, and return processing activities. This position serves as the primary point of contact for inbound shipments and receiving discrepancies and works with clients and the Operations Director to resolve issues.

The Receiving Coordinator is responsible for following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensuring that personnel assigned to receiving and return activities follow approved procedures and work instructions. This role will, as with all warehouse roles at Shipica include the expectation to help organize, declutter, clean and maintain an organized and clean working environment throughout the warehouse, not just in the receiving area.

Primary Responsibilities

Inbound Freight Scheduling

• Schedule inbound freight deliveries with carriers, vendors, and clients.
• Maintain the receiving calendar and dock schedule.
• Communicate expected inbound deliveries and receiving concerns to the Operations Director.
• Ensure required receiving documentation is available before deliveries arrive and if not then before product can be received.

Receiving Operations

• Receive inbound shipments against Purchase Orders (POs), Packing Lists (PLs), Bills of Lading (BOLs), and other supporting documentation.
• Verify product quantities, SKU information, and product condition.
• Document shortages, overages, damages, and other receiving discrepancies.
• Enter receiving transactions into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Maintain receiving records and supporting documentation.
• Communicate receiving discrepancies to clients and assist in resolving issues.

Product Put-Away and Replenishment Support

• Complete product put-away into assigned warehouse locations.
• Operate scissor lift and other approved equipment safely and efficiently.
• Support replenishment activities by moving inventory to designated pick locations.
• Assist with warehouse inventory movements as directed.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
