RECEIVING CLERK

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Receiving Clerk to join the team at KY MAJU MART SDN BHD. This is a full-time position based in Bandar Marang, Terengganu. As a Receiving Clerk, you will play a crucial role in our operations by managing the receipt, verification and documentation of all incoming goods and materials. This position is fundamental to ensuring smooth warehouse operations and maintaining accurate inventory records that support the overall efficiency of our business.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and inspect all incoming shipments and merchandise to verify quantity, quality and condition against purchase orders and delivery documentation
• Accurately record receipt details into the inventory management system, including product codes, quantities, dates and supplier information
• Organise and arrange received goods in designated storage areas, ensuring proper labelling and easy accessibility
• Prepare and maintain receiving reports and documentation for all incoming deliveries
• Identify and report any discrepancies, damaged items or missing goods to management and suppliers promptly
• Perform regular stock counts and reconciliation to ensure inventory accuracy
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks in a safe and efficient manner
• Maintain a clean and organised receiving area and workspace
• Communicate with suppliers, delivery personnel and internal departments regarding receipt of goods
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies

What we're looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
• Proven experience working as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse or logistics role
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data entry
• Proficiency in using inventory management systems and computer software
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items regularly, with physical stamina for warehouse duties
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one is advantageous
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with suppliers and colleagues
• Reliability and a strong work ethic with a commitment to meeting deadlines
• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices
