Receiving Position

TITLE OF POSITION: Receiving Clerk/Tow Motor

REPORTS TO: Warehouse Manager

JOB PURPOSE: To ensure that all the merchandise is on a purchase order and checked in on the system.

JOB RESULTS:

• Performs specialized administrative and clerical duties requiring some selection and interpretation of data and instructions.

• Ensures the accurate receipt of merchandise from vendors and returning of shipping errors.

• Assists in breaking all freight down into proper proportions.

• Distributes all products to proper stocking or back stocking area.

• Assists in year-end inventory.

• Keeps all empty pallets in warehouse area picked up.

• Keeps tow motor cleaned and reports all damages

• Loads all salvage, including chep pallets, excess brown pallets and all recycle materials.

• Assists in the unloading of Company trucks when needed.

• Assists in stocking areas when deemed necessary by supervisor.

• Separates all returns from return department and distributes them to the proper areas.

• Assists with the entering of purchase orders into the computer system.

• Ships packages via UPS.

• Assists in determining bin locations for merchandise.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school education or equivalent.

• One to two years related experience.

• Ability to lift 40-60 pounds.

• Knowledge of basic office equipment operation.
