Reception Class Teacher

We are looking for a skilled Early Years Teacher who shares our commitment to children being safe, happy and successful. We follow the EYFS framework and are passionate about the importance of learning through play while ensuring that every child becomes secure in phonics and early mathematics. Our recently designed EYFS environment provides an inviting setting for play and learning. A n EYFS Co-ordinator's position may be available to a suitably qualified and experienced candidate.

Our School

Bloomsbury International School Hatyai is a co-educational international independent school. Bloomsbury was founded in 2014 and offers a British style curriculum to both day and boarding students. Our school is small with around 200 students aged from 2-18, with an average class size of 15. We are a caring, kind team, committed to every student achieving their very best. Key Criteria

The successful candidate will:

• Have UK qualified teacher status for early years, or equivalent .
• Share our commitment to the importance of both play and the direct teaching of phonics and early mathematics
• Have experience of a systematic synthetic phonics programme
• Have a professional manner and the ability to communicate clearly and well
• Be highly motivated and committed to excellence
• Be caring, child-centred and ready to collaborate in a professional team
• Be fluent in English.

Location

Hatyai is located in southern Thailand, only 40 minutes' drive from the nearest beach in Songkhla Town and within easy reach of Krabi, Phuket, Koh Samui and Koh Lipe, as well as Penang and Langkawi across the border in Malaysia. The international airport offers easy access to Bangkok, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur,opening up the rest of Asia. It is easy to spend your weekends or holidays exploring this beautiful part of the world.

Hatyai itself is an up and coming city without the high cost of living found in other more well known destinations in Thailand. There are large Western-style malls and supermarkets, along with many bars and restaurants offering a wide range of international food, while the city retains a very ‘Thai’ feel. People are friendly and welcoming, with the famous Thai smile never far away.
