About the role

We are seeking a capable and suitably professional to join Quest Petone in the position of Front Desk Reception. You will thrive on immersing yourself in the Quest Network and be proud as part of the Quest Petone team. You will be working in a small team with regular hours ranging from shifts on week days or week ends. You will get to learn and experience all aspects of the Hotel business as you develop within the team. Initial and ongoing support will come from the Quest Education program; from the induction into the Quest Apartment Hotel operations through to nationally recognised qualifications in the Accommodation Industry eg Level, 3, 4 & 5 Certificates.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the day to day hotel reception and daily operations of hotel and most importantly the Guest experience
• Professional and engaging approach
• High level of Communication (English)
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask
• Onsite night duty required and in return accommodation will be provided with employment
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Active member of the Emergency and After Hours management of the property
• Assist in Housekeeping

About you

• Good team player
• Well organised with a high level of attention to detail
• Driven to exceed and deliver superb guest interactions
• Proven success in complaint and conflict resolutions
• Adaptable to work morning shifts and evening shifts, public holidays and weekends
• Excellent customer service and results driven
• Experience with RMS and Siteminder are preferred but not necessary
• NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa required
• If not a NZ citizen a minimum 2 year work visa is required
