Reception Support Volunteer

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A VOLUNTEERING ROLE

Role purpose

To provide a friendly and professional welcome to visitors, volunteers and staff at Age

UK Wyvern, helping to create a positive experience for everyone who contacts or visits

the organisation. The Reception Support Volunteer will assist with a range of reception

and administrative duties, helping the team to deliver high-quality services to older

people across our communities.

Main tasks/activities

Tasks include, but not limited to:

Welcome visitors and provide a friendly first point of contact.

Assist with incoming and outgoing post and deliveries.

Provide information about Age UK Wyvern services and direct enquiries

appropriately.

Follow Age UK Wyvern policies, including confidentiality and safeguarding

procedures.

Role Description

Days/hours

Flexible volunteering opportunities are available between 10:00am and 3:00pm,

Monday to Friday. Volunteers can choose a morning session (10:00am to

12:30pm), afternoon session (12:30pm to 3:00pm) or full-day session (10:00am to

3:00pm). We ask volunteers to commit to at least one regular session per week,

with opportunities to provide extra support occasionally if available.

Background checks

For this role, we would require you to provide two references and undergo a Basic DBS Check.

Pay: £0.01 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 – 25.0 per week
