What they need
Full time/permanent role
Our client is a well-established Scone based business offering a comprehensive, professional bovine Artificial Breeding service (A.I.) for both the beef and dairy industries across the Hunter Valley and Southern New England.
They are seeking an experienced and capable Receptionist/Administration Coordinator to assume this critical role within their small, friendly team. Flexible hours can be negotiated to suit the successful candidates’ personal requirements (i.e. school hours etc.); however, start times must be consistent.
This is an interesting role with a variety of responsibilities including client liaison (face to face & via phone) scheduling & coordinating the Principal’s calendar with the client’s ‘on property’ visit requirements. Knowledge of geographical areas essential to coordinate multiple site visits in close proximity, effectively utilising valuable time in these critical time sensitive A.I. processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reception and general administration
- Client liaison
- Accurate data entry
- Packing and unpacking A.I. supplies of consumables, frozen bovine semen & embryos (*must be able to work with & move approx. 25kg tanks of liquid nitrogen)
- Organisation & scheduling *dispatch of the above A.I. supplies
- Calendar management
- Ad hoc tasks as required
Essential Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Knowledge in the use of accounting software
- Strong attention to detail in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent communication and telephone manner
- Ability to work collaboratively and learn industry terminology
- Knowledge of the rural sector is desirable but not essential
With nationally recognised accreditations across every aspect of artificial breeding, our client is renowned and relied upon to deliver quality, precision, and results. To achieve this, this role is an essential position within the Team which requires a sense of urgency in arranging dispatch of A.I. supplies, attention to detail, highly accurate data recording and the ability to closely monitor calendars & ‘juggle’ multiple jobs at once, to ensure semen&/or embryos are checked (& double checked), packed & dispatched “on time/every time”.
Occasionally, the successful candidate may be required, when necessary, to drive an automatic company van to deliver tanks of liquid nitrogen to Farms, Vets & Doctors in the Scone, Tamworth, Quirindi & surrounding areas.
Training is provided in all aspects of the role
A warm, friendly, outgoing personality, excellent presentation and the ability to work unsupervised will be essential to enable you to work cohesively within the team and liaise with their customers with ease. Superior computer skills & excellent knowledge of MS Office (including Outlook and managing multiple calendars including the Principal’s) essential.
