receptionist / beautician

Looking for a reliable, friendly, energetic, well presented, enthusiastic, outgoing and well organised receptionist or beautician with excellent people and communication skills to be part of a specialist dermatology clinic. Must be bubbly, reliable, outgoing and enjoy working with people. Ready for immediate start if successful. Must have excellent customer service skills and be keen to make a difference and keen to excel and grow in the field.

Must have excellent communication skills. Must be reliable, friendly and must be able to work well in a team and follow instruction if needed and also be able to work independently.

Would suit someone who has an interest in skin, aesthetics, beauty, laser services and health. This role has a chance to learn about skin, aesthetics and beautician and dermatology treatments.

Would also suit a beautician / aesthetician with receptionist abilities, wishing to work in a dermatologist setting for more experience. There is a good opportunity to learn about skin treatments, peels, facials, laser treatments, hair and skin conditions and skin cancer.

Role does include office organising, cleaning, typing letters, call answering, PA roles, booking patients, managing and running the office, organising notes, and promoting services. Computer skills will be important. Will require excellent communication skills. Role also has a chance to expand into skin technician roles, aesthetic treatment roles, and other clinic tasks.

Must be energetic and enthusiastic!! This is a front of house role, so must be a people's person and have excellent customer service skills and pleasant manner and presentation.

Hours include approximately one full week every 4 weeks (9am till approx  6pm). On other weeks it is part time ( approx 2-3 half days per week). There is flexibility in the part time weeks. Another possibility is to job share the role with another candidate, which we are open to discussion with. Will suit a candidate not requiring full time work, however wanting to be part of a great team and wanting a stimulating social work environment, with the opportunity to learn and grow in skin medicine / aesthetics .  The role has a good opportunity to increase in hours over the next six months as our doctor clinics continue to grow. Depending on the candidate, we may start the role as a casual position, and evolve it to permanent part time as the hours and role grows.

We are keen to employ a candidate for longer term work (at least 9 months), so will not suit candidates who are unsure of their long term availability.

Immediate start possible

There will be an opportunity to grow with the team and take on some more responsibility with time. There is also an opportunity to train in skin technician or beautician type services and evolve as the role grows.

Working hours are during office hours (no weekends or public holidays). Our current office is in central wellington, Thorndon. There is no parking provided however it is close to the train station and public transport.
