Receptionist

**Hotel:**Scenic Suites & Heartland Hotel Queenstown  Location: 27 Stanley Street, Queenstown 9300
Employment Type: Full-time permanent position.
Hours of Work: Guaranteed 40 hours per week, on a rotating roster, including weekends.
Shift times: between 7:00am - 3:30pm and 2:30pm - 11:15pm
Wage Rate: $26 -$28 per hour

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Meeting and greeting guests, and managing the process of checking guests in and out of the hotel, including verifying identification, processing payments, and providing room keys.
• Assisting with reservations on a day-to-day basis.
• Handling phone calls and emails, taking messages, and responding to guest inquiries or concerns
• Providing information on local attractions, dining options, transportation, and other services.
• Handling guest complaints or escalating them to the appropriate department for resolution.
• Ensuring that reception and public areas are kept clean and tidy.
• Performing administrative tasks such as receiving and sorting mail.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• 1-2 years relevant experience in a front office environment.
• Fluency in additional languages (particularly Mandarin) would be advantageous
• A relevant tertiary qualification in hospitality or related field would be an advantage.
• An aptitude to learn new computer systems.
• Flexbile availabiliy to work mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
