Job Summary

Sunset Cliffs Animal Hospital is looking for a friendly, professional, and dependable Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative to join our team.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with both people and animals, provides exceptional customer service, and is able to stay organized and positive in a busy veterinary hospital environment.

✨ Is comfortable answering phones, scheduling appointments, and checking clients in and out

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet clients and patients upon arrival
• Check clients and patients in and out efficiently
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist clients professionally
• Schedule and confirm veterinary appointments
• Communicate clearly with clients regarding appointments, hospital procedures, and general questions
• Coordinate with doctors, veterinary assistants, and technicians to support smooth patient flow
• Process payments and maintain accurate client information
• Respond to client messages and follow up when needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and reception area
• Provide compassionate and professional service, including during stressful or emotional situations
• Assist with additional front-desk and administrative duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary hospital or animal-care experience is strongly preferred
• Previous receptionist or front-desk experience preferred
• Two or more years of customer service experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer-service skills and professional demeanor
• Comfortable working with computers, phones, and scheduling software
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
• Must enjoy working with animals and providing excellent service to their owners
