Receptionist

Role Description This full-time Receptionist role at Bristol Portal do Iguaçu Hotel is an on-site position based in Curitiba, PR. The Receptionist is responsible for welcoming guests, managing check-in and check-out procedures, and providing accurate information about hotel services, local attractions, and reservations. Daily tasks include handling phone calls, responding to emails, updating booking systems, processing payments, and maintaining organized front desk records. The role also involves coordinating with housekeeping and other hotel teams to ensure rooms are ready, addressing guest inquiries or issues promptly, and maintaining a professional, courteous presence in the lobby area. The Receptionist is expected to uphold hotel standards, follow security and safety procedures, and contribute to a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact courteously and clearly with guests and colleagues.
• Proficiency in receptionist duties and front desk operations, including check-in/check-out, reservations, and coordinating with other hotel departments.
• Solid phone etiquette and clerical skills, such as answering calls professionally, handling messages, and maintaining accurate records.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with hotel management or reservation systems are highly beneficial.
• Ability to stay organized, manage multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in hospitality, customer-facing roles, or front desk positions is an advantage.
• Availability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operations.
• Fluency in Portuguese; knowledge of English or other languages is a plus.
