Receptionist

Scope of Position

·       Greet and assist jobseekers, employers and agency visitors; provide administrative support to staff and customers in need of basic CareerLink services.

Salary: $45,000

Essential Functions

• Welcome visitors in a prompt and friendly manner, directing them to appropriate area, services or staff
• Provide PA CareerLink information in a knowledgeable and pleasant manner
• Direct visitors to available onsite partners and resources as appropriate
• Responsible for customer activity through sign-in, workshops and activity registrations
• Provide prompt, accurate transfer of messages and information from the front desk to appropriate PA CareerLink staff
• Retrieve login information for individuals to access the PA CareerLink website
• Answer and direct calls on the PA CareerLink multi-line telephone system
• Provide basic services statistics and reporting to monitor customer activity
• Support staff in the collection and verification of program requirements and needed documentation
• Perform data entry and provide clerical support
• Open and disburse mail to appropriate staff mailboxes
• Prevent unauthorized persons from entering the agency
• Manage office supplies
• Other opportunities as available

Education and Experience Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Customer Service experience required
• Bilingual in Spanish required
• Experience in answering inquiries in a courteous, efficient and professional manner
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
