Receptionist

Key Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Receptionist, as assigned by the Campus Director, may include but are not limited to the following: Screens and directs telephone calls / complaints and visitors to the appropriate department. Acts as a good communicator and relates to others in a pleasant, outgoing manner. Provides moderate to advanced secretarial / clerical support. Receives and relays incoming and outgoing telephone calls for the School system, to include scheduling and implementation of multi-party conference calls. Provides director information to inquiries and transfer calls, as appropriate. Collects, verifies, and enters School directory information into a computer database Greets office visitors and clients. Determines the nature of their business and provides appropriate information or directs visitor to other personnel. Immediately refers more difficult issues to appropriate staff. Maintains a resource directory used to inform or direct consumers or clients. Answers telephone promptly, within 4 rings, and identifies the department according to established guidelines. Delivers accurate and legible telephone messages to appropriate personnel. Ensures messages have caller's name, organization, date, time of call and return telephone number.
