Receptionist

Job Summary:

The Hospital Receptionist is responsible for welcoming patients and visitors, managing appointments, handling inquiries, and ensuring smooth front-office operations while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist patients, visitors, and attendants professionally.
• Register new patients and maintain patient records accurately.
• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.
• Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate departments.
• Guide patients regarding hospital services, departments, and procedures.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other departments for patient appointments and admissions.
• Collect registration fees and issue receipts as per hospital policy.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Handle patient complaints and escalate issues when necessary.
• Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming.

Required Qualifications:

• Any Bachelor's Degree or Diploma.
• Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, Hospital Management Software).
• Good communication skills in Tamil and English.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
