About the role

This is a Member Relations and Reception role at a gym facility. You will be the first point of contact for members and guests, responsible for welcoming them, processing check-ins, providing facility information, and managing administrative and financial operations at the reception desk.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome members and guests in a friendly, energetic, and professional manner
• Process member check-ins using attendance systems, card scanning, or mobile applications
• Provide information about gym facilities, fitness class schedules, and Personal Trainer services
• Conduct facility tours for prospective new members
• Handle new membership registration and package updates
• Promote membership packages, monthly promotions, and Personal Trainer sessions
• Manage fitness class reservations (Yoga, Pilates, Zumba, Spinning, etc.)
• Update member data and package status in the database system
• Process payments for memberships, Personal Trainer sessions, daily passes, and retail products (supplements, beverages, merchandise)
• Handle cash and non-cash transactions and issue payment receipts
• Manage locker, towel, and gym equipment loans or rentals
• Coordinate with Cleaning/Housekeeping teams to maintain cleanliness of lobby, lockers, and equipment areas
• Coordinate with Personal Trainers regarding member session schedules
• Handle member complaints, access issues, and technical questions related to gym rules
• Ensure only active members or registered guests have access to training areas
• Prepare daily sales reports at the reception desk
