Receptionist

Here at Tay Valley Vets, we are looking for a Receptionist to join our friendly and dedicated team.

We are looking for a reliable, organised and enthusiastic individual with significant experience in delivering excellent customer service. You will have outstanding communication skills, a professional telephone manner and the ability to remain calm and compassionate in a busy environment.

As one of the main points of contact for our clients, you’ll share in both the happy and difficult days. This includes supporting pet owners who may be worried, emotional or grieving. We are looking for someone who can provide compassionate and reassuring service while remaining professional and composed under pressure.

Key responsibilities

• Providing exceptional customer service to our clients.
• Answering incoming telephone calls and dealing with client queries.
• Regularly monitoring incoming emails, responding promptly or forwarding them to the appropriate team member as required.
• Supporting colleagues and working effectively as part of a busy team.

Working hours

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position, working on a weekly alternating shift pattern:

• Week 1: 8:00am – 4:00pm
• Week 2: 11:30am – 7:30pm

There is also a 1-in-8 weekend rota, with weekend hours as follows:

• Saturday: 8:30am – 12:00pm
• Sunday: 9:00am – 12:30pm
