WE ARE HIRING – RESTAURANT RECEPTIONIST

NIJU Japanese Restaurant | Mayfair, London

NIJU is looking for a friendly, professional, and organised Restaurant Receptionist to join our front-of-house team. We are seeking someone who is passionate about hospitality, enjoys creating memorable guest experiences, and can deliver a warm and welcoming first impression in our Japanese restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and provide an exceptional first impression.
• Manage reservations, guest enquiries, and table allocations efficiently.
• Confidently operate OpenTable and SevenRooms for managing bookings, guest profiles, seating plans, and reservations.
• Handle telephone calls, emails, and reservation requests professionally.
• Coordinate closely with the restaurant management and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
• Maintain accurate guest information and accommodate special requests whenever possible.
• Manage guest arrivals, walk-ins, cancellations, and waiting lists.
• Assist with VIP guests and ensure all guests receive attentive, personalised service.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a receptionist or host/hostess role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Good working knowledge of both OpenTable and SevenRooms is essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A professional, well-presented, and welcoming manner.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and a guest-focused attitude.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
