Receptionist – Full-Time

Schedule: Morning or evening shifts; flexibility required.

Pay: $18.00 per hour

The Selfhelp Home, a nonprofit retirement community on Chicago’s North Side, is seeking a friendly, dependable receptionist to provide excellent customer service and support daily front desk operations.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Answer and direct calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries.
• Maintain visitor signin records and follow building entry procedures.
• Handle mail, deliveries, filing, and other administrative tasks.
• Communicate concerns promptly and maintain confidentiality.
• Keep the reception area organized and welcoming.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to multitask.
• Reliable attendance and a professional, compassionate approach.
• Flexibility to work morning or evening shifts.
• Receptionist or healthcare experience preferred.
