What they need

Physiotas is seeking a part-time receptionist to join the team, with opportunities to provide additional relief cover within the administration team when required. This is a busy and fast-paced environment, so the successful candidate will need to be organised, adaptable and confident managing multiple tasks while providing a high level of customer service.

The successful candidate will need to have availability to work both opening shifts from 7:30am and closing shifts until 6:15pm. Opening and closing shifts will be scheduled on different days and will never be required on the same day.

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential, and we welcome applications from individuals who are enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to learn.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a Tasmanian-owned and operated organisation committed to delivering high-quality healthcare services to the local community.

The Position

As a Receptionist at Physiotas, the successful applicant will play an important role in supporting the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the clinics. Responsibilities of the role include:

· Providing a warm, friendly, and professional first point of contact for patients

· Booking and managing appointments across all NW clinics

· Answering phone calls and responding to general enquiries

· Managing referrals and coordinating practitioner schedules

· Processing payments, invoices, and private health fund claims

· Collecting, maintaining, and securely storing patient information

· Completing end-of-day banking and balancing procedures

· Ordering stock and providing administrative support to practitioners as required

· Handling cash and completing banking tasks accurately and responsibly

About You

They are seeking candidates with the following qualities:

· Exceptional customer service skills

· Strong attention to detail

· Effective time management skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment

· Demonstrated initiative and a proactive approach to work

· Ability to work effectively within a team, with a willingness to support colleagues

The Organisation

With over 25 years of service, Physiotas has grown to become one of Tasmania’s largest physiotherapy practices, operating six clinics across the state. The organisation is committed to delivering high-quality care while supporting the growth and development of its team members.

Physiotas fosters a collaborative, supportive, and celebratory culture. Every team member’s voice is valued, with regular opportunities to recognise achievements, share ideas, and strengthen connections. Annual whole-team days reflect on progress, celebrate contributions, and build excitement for the year ahead — creating a workplace with a strong sense of purpose, connection, and shared success.

What’s On Offer?

· Permanent part-time position

· A friendly, supportive, and inclusive team culture where you will genuinely feel part of the team

· Opportunity to gain experience in a well-established allied health practice

· On-the-job training and ongoing support provided

· Varied and engaging work within a busy clinical environment

· Opportunity to contribute to a positive, community-focused healthcare service
