About the Role:

Popilsky Family Optometry is looking for a friendly and organized Receptionist/Front Desk professional to be the welcoming face of our practice in Aptos, CA. Responsibilities:

• Greet and check in patients with a warm, professional demeanor at the front desk
• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries
• Verify patient insurance benefits and process billing and co-payments
• Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic information in the system
• Coordinate patient flow and communicate with optometrists and clinical staff
• Handle optical frame and contact lens orders and assist with patient follow-up

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a receptionist, front desk, or medical/optometry office role preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
• Proficiency in scheduling software and general computer skills (MS Office, EHR systems)
• Knowledge of medical or vision insurance billing and verification is a plus
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a busy office environment
• Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct
• High school diploma or equivalent required
