Recon Manager

Summary of Position:

Fast growing company looking for Recon Manager to work in a fast-paced, high-production environment with the ability to lead a team in professionally reconditioning cars to meet dealership standards and make ready for distributions to all our dealership locations. The qualifying candidate must be goal-oriented, enthusiastic, energetic, self-motivated, with the ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the organization. This candidate must be experienced and familiar in all areas of automotive reconditioning, including but not limited to: vehicle inspection, mechanical repairs, diagnostics, bodywork, paint, interior and exterior detailing.

What you should know

This position requires a minimum 3 years of Automotive Management experience and requires an understanding of the vehicle repair process. Must be a critical thinker with the ability to multitask. Must be able to supervise, manage, lead, and train a team of up to 40 employees.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all shop operations, including scheduling, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance
• Manage and motivate a team of technicians, service advisors, and support staff
• Monitor daily team productivity, personnel attendance and performance.
• Monitor workflow to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance
• Forecast goals and objectives for the department / individuals, and strive to meet them as a team leader
• Take ownership of high-quality reconditioning standards that minimize comebacks.
• Manage sublet work relationships, holding vendors accountable for on-time delivery at negotiated rates
• Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a reconditioning automotive facility or dealership
• Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment
• Experience working for a fast-paced hyper-growth company
