What they need

Make a real impact in the lives of disengaged learners and help create pathways to brighter futures.

Cire is seeking a passionate and motivated Reconnect Case Worker to join our team and support some of our communities most disadvantaged and disengaged members to re-engage with education, training, and employment.

  • Competitive salary with salary packaging options
  • Community focused organisation
  • Use your skills and experience to make a difference

About the Role

  • Grant Funded Part Time role up to 31/1/2030 (27hrs per week)

The Reconnect program is funded by the Australian Government to address the needs of learners who face significant barriers to education. Many Victorians experience complex social, personal, and economic challenges that make it difficult to access or complete training pathways. Reconnect works to break this cycle of disadvantage by providing wrap-around, person-centred support. This program is for Youth (17 to 24yrs) who have been/currently on Youth Justice Orders, individuals (20 to 64 yrs) not currently working or studying and individuals (17 to 64yrs) who have a current or previous experience with child protection services.

This role supports Cire, as a funded provider, to deliver the Victorian Government’s Reconnect Program, providing personalised case management support to help disengaged and disadvantaged learners to re enter education, training, or employment by providing targeted outreach, personalised plans, and coordinated wrap around supports. Working closely with community partners and training providers, the role helps participants overcome barriers, build confidence and skills, and transition into sustainable learning and career pathways.

The Perks

We put our people first. Here’s what you’ll enjoy:

  • Salary packaging to maximise your take-home pay.
  • Discounts on childcare and training courses.
  • Inclusive and friendly culture where you’ll feel valued.
  • Comprehensive EAP.
  • Purpose-driven work that benefits vulnerable communities.

About you

You will thrive in this role if you are:

  • passionate about social equity, education and community empowerment
  • experienced in case management, community development, youth work, employment services or a related support field
  • confident working with people with complex barriers or experiencing disadvantage
  • skilled in building trusting relationships, engaging hard-to-reach participants, and tailoring support to individual needs
  • a strong collaborator who values teamwork, partnerships and innovative practice
  • organised, resilient and able to balance outreach, planning and documentation requirements

Qualifications in community services, youth work, social work, education, employment services or related fields are highly regarded.
