The Role

The Matter Mobility Specialist manages the secure transfer of client files and data, both electronic and physical, as attorneys join or leave the firm and as client matters move in or out. You’ll own matter-tracking, run quality-control reviews on outgoing files to ensure only authorized records leave the firm, coordinate e-discovery review databases for large projects, and partner with IT and outside vendors on complex data transfers. You’ll also support records-system upgrades, help write and maintain procedures, and train records staff.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in legal operations, records and information governance, or litigation support, ideally with matter mobility work
• Experience with document management systems such as iManage or NetDocuments
• Familiarity with e-discovery platforms (Everlaw, Disco, or similar)
• Experience with records management databases
• Advanced Excel skills for organizing and tracking large volumes of data
• Strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of confidentiality and ethical-wall requirements in a law firm
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with comfort working across IT, attorneys, and external vendors
• Associate degree or some college coursework preferred
