RECOVERY DRIVER 7.5/CLASS 2/CLASS 1

Summary

We are currently seeking drivers to join our friendly team at APEX RECOVERY LTD in West Bromwich. This full-time position requires a dedicated individual with strong communication skills who can handle public interactions, especially in difficult circumstances. You will be part of a 24-hour service team, working various shifts including nights and weekends.

Due to the nature of the job flexibility is required. This is no 9-5 job, you will need to work a rotational shift pattern, full time shifts to include days, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate vehicles with a 7.5t license or above to transport goods and provide recovery services.
• Communicate effectively with members of the public, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
• Wheel changes, jumpstarts and diagnostics
• Perform vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Assist in loading and unloading vehicles as necessary during operations.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on duty.

Requirements

• Valid 7.5t / Class 2 driving license is required.
• Good mechanical knowledge to assist with vehicle maintenance.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with the public.
• Experience in commercial driving or delivery driving is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and nights.
