Recreation Director

The Recreation Director would ensure that the program's needs are met within the city of North College Hill and improve the quality of life for citizens across the community demographic.

Their duties and responsibilities include:

• Planning, organizing, and directing/coordinating all aspects of recreational programs and services - in conjunction with the Recreation Commission
• Identifying city/community needs, developing appropriate recreational activities, events, and maintaining all recreational reservations and logistics
• Preparing and managing budgets for recreational programs
• Overseeing volunteers, training, and management of recreational events
• Ensuring all recreational facilities and equipment are maintained and safe for use
• Evaluating the effectiveness of recreational programs and making necessary improvements
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with community groups, sponsors, and other stakeholders
• Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations about recreational programs
• Communicating with participants and their families, addressing any concerns

Qualifications:

1. A significant experience and/or a degree in Recreation Management, Sports Administration, or a related field

2. 2+ years of experience in recreation program development and/or management

3. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a passion for community engagement

4. Knowledge of safety guidelines and regulations related to the recreation industry

5. Excellent organizational and communication skills

6. Ability to work with diverse populations and age groups

Status: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week
