As a Recreation Director, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating recreational programs that promote socialization, engagement, and overall well-being among our residents.

About the Role:

As a Recreation Director at The Fountains at Atco, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents. You will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing recreational programs that cater to diverse interests and abilities
• Collaborating with other departments to create a comprehensive recreational experience
• Recruiting and supervising recreation staff and volunteers
• Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all program participants
• Monitoring and evaluating program effectiveness and making necessary adjustments
• Assisting with special events and community activities
• Developing and managing the recreation budget

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver a wide range of recreational programs, including arts and crafts, fitness classes, games, and social events
• Conduct resident surveys and focus groups to understand their interests and preferences
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote recreational programs
• Supervise and evaluate recreation staff and volunteers
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop programs that promote resident health and wellness
• Maintain accurate records and reports on program participation and evaluation
• Participate in community events and activities
• Recreation Director will work closely with the entire team to ensure a seamless delivery of services

Requirements:

• High school diploma; degree or Cert in Recreation, Leisure Studies, or related field preferred
• 3 years of experience or equivalent education/training
• Proven experience in recreation programming and management
• Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
