What they need
Okulo Aerospace is a deep-tech startup building next-generation solar-electric unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for dual-use applications. We are among the few Indian aerospace companies to have successfully designed, built, and flight-tested novel UAV platforms entirely in-house.
Backed by top institutional investors and supported by the Ministry of Defence through the iDEX (Innovations for Defence Excellence) program, we combine first-principles engineering with startup agility to solve complex, real-world aerospace challenges.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Recruiter to scale our talent acquisition function by filling critical, niche technical and non-technical roles. As we enter a high-growth phase across engineering, business, and leadership functions, you will play a central role in attracting and closing top-tier talent while helping shape our culture of ownership and high performance.
This is a unique opportunity to build our talent pipeline, refine our hiring systems, and define the cultural DNA of a deep-tech company driving aerospace and defense innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end recruitment process from sourcing, screening, and assessments to offer rollouts, salary negotiations, and candidate onboarding.
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, streamline interview processes, and build tailored recruitment workflows for both entry-level and leadership positions.
- Proactively source and nurture talent pipelines for active and future roles, maintaining a high bar for technical excellence and cultural alignment.
- Ensure a seamless, professional, and engaging experience for candidates throughout all recruitment stages.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of full-cycle recruitment experience, ideally within a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
- Proven track record of recruiting across technical (engineering, R&D) and non-technical (business operations, leadership) domains.
- Prior experience in hardware-focused, deep-tech, robotics, automation, or aerospace sectors is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional leaders and early-stage teams to build high-impact organizations.
- A deep understanding of how to evaluate candidates for cultural fit, performance, and long-term retention.
