About the Company

We are a mid-sized, growing landscaping and construction company based in Lafayette, NJ. We provide residential and commercial landscaping, construction, snow removal, and related services. As we expand, we are strengthening our internal recruiting function—and we have plans to grow this into a recruiting service that we will eventually offer to other companies as well.

The Role

We are hiring a full-time, on-site Recruiter in Lafayette, NJ who will use a combination of methods to fill a wide range of positions. Indeed and other job boards are part of the toolkit, but we need someone who does not rely on them alone. The right person will actively use field recruiting, outbound outreach, community networking, and other creative approaches to find strong candidates—especially for hard-to-fill labor, driver, and seasonal roles.

What You’ll Do

• Source, recruit, and hire for roles including:
• Landscaping and construction laborers
• CDL drivers
• Seasonal snow removal workers (part-time)
• Office and administrative staff
• Managerial and supervisory roles
• Additional positions as business needs change
• Use a multi-channel approach that includes (but is not limited to):
• Job boards such as Indeed
• Field recruiting (visiting job sites, neighborhoods, community locations, and local hangouts)
• Direct outbound outreach (calls, texts, and in-person conversations)
• Building referral networks and relationships with employees, local organizations, churches, and trade programs
• Job fairs, community events, and targeted hiring events
• Other creative sourcing methods as appropriate
• Screen candidates, conduct interviews, and partner with hiring managers through the full recruiting cycle
• Build and maintain active pipelines for both ongoing and seasonal hiring needs
• Help refine recruiting processes and contribute ideas as we grow our recruiting capabilities (including the planned external recruiting service)

What We’re Looking For

• Experience recruiting using multiple methods—not solely inbound job board applications
• Comfort with field recruiting, direct outreach, and getting out into the community
• Experience hiring for construction, landscaping, trades, CDL/drivers, blue-collar, or seasonal roles is a strong plus
• Resourceful, proactive, and willing to combine traditional and non-traditional approaches
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Organized and able to manage multiple roles and pipelines
• Comfortable working full-time on-site in Lafayette, NJ, with regular time spent in the field
