Recruitment Consultant – Renewable Energy

Atlas NextWave is an international recruitment and workforce solutions company supporting clients across the energy and marine industries.

Our team in Japan is growing, and we are looking for a Recruitment Consultant to join our Contracting team, supporting clients and professionals primarily across onshore and offshore wind projects.

We are open-minded about the background of the person joining us. You might already have recruitment experience within a permanent or contract environment, come from the renewable energy industry, or be at an earlier stage in your career and looking for an opportunity to develop within recruitment.

The opportunity

You’ll join an established Atlas NextWave team in Japan and work alongside colleagues who understand the local renewable energy market.

Our contracting desk is growing, so this is an opportunity to become part of the team at an exciting stage of its development. Contract recruitment can move quickly, and you’ll need to be comfortable responding to changing priorities, communicating with candidates and clients, and keeping multiple activities moving at the same time.

Depending on your experience, your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting recruitment for onshore and offshore wind projects.
• Sourcing and engaging professionals for current and future client requirements.
• Building and maintaining strong candidate networks within the Japanese renewable energy market.
• Managing recruitment processes from initial contact through to placement and mobilisation.
• Developing strong relationships with clients and understanding their workforce requirements.
• Working closely with the wider Japan team to identify new opportunities and grow our contracting business.
• Maintaining regular contact with contractors and professionals throughout their assignments.

Who are we looking for?

We are intentionally keeping our search broad and would be interested in speaking with:

• Recruitment professionals with permanent or contract recruitment experience who would like to develop within the renewable energy market.
• Renewable energy professionals with strong industry knowledge and relationships who are interested in moving into recruitment.
• Earlier-career candidates with the right commercial mindset, energy and motivation to build a career in recruitment.

You don’t need to tick every box. What matters most is that you are proactive, resilient, organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll enjoy speaking with people, building relationships and taking ownership of your work. An interest in renewable energy and the growth of the Japanese market is important.

Japanese and English language capability would be highly advantageous, although we are open to discussing opportunities with candidates from different backgrounds.
