Recruitment Lead Generation VA (Canva Experience Required)

The role. You will support Australian recruitment agencies across three areas: recruitment coordination, business development lead generation, and LinkedIn optimisation with content repurposing. You will source candidates, open doors with new clients through LinkedIn and email outreach, and strengthen the client's LinkedIn presence by optimising their profile and repurposing their content into on-brand posts and carousels in Canva.

Key responsibilities

Recruitment support

• Source candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards (SEEK, Indeed) and the client's CRM/ATS
• Write, post and refresh job ads across boards and social channels
• Screen resumes against role requirements and shortlist qualified candidates
• Conduct initial phone or video screens and record notes in the ATS
• Schedule interviews and coordinate between candidates and consultants
• Run reference checks and keep candidate records accurate and up to date

Lead generation and business development

• Research and build target lists of hiring companies and decision-makers
• Run LinkedIn outreach: connection requests, follow-up messages and InMails
• Send personalised email outreach sequences and track replies
• Monitor job boards for hiring signals and turn them into client leads
• Book discovery calls and appointments for the client's consultants
• Log every touchpoint in the CRM and report weekly on pipeline activity

LinkedIn optimisation and content repurposing (Canva)

• Audit and optimise the client's LinkedIn presence: headline, About section, banner, featured section and company page
• Align the client's profile with their recruitment niche and ideal client so it converts outreach into conversations
• Repurpose the client's existing content (blogs, newsletters, podcasts, videos, market updates) into LinkedIn posts, carousels and short-form graphics
• Design branded LinkedIn carousels, quote cards and thought-leadership visuals in Canva
• Build reusable Canva templates so the client's content stays consistent and quick to produce
• Plan and schedule a weekly LinkedIn content calendar that supports the client's lead generation
• Track post engagement and profile views, and refine content based on what performs

Requirements

Must have

• 1–2+ years of recruitment experience (agency, RPO or offshore recruitment support)
• Proven lead generation or B2B outreach experience, ideally on LinkedIn
• Working proficiency in Canva, with a portfolio of 3–5 sample designs
• Excellent written and spoken English suited to Australian clients
• Comfortable working Australian business hours
• Reliable internet (25 Mbps+), backup power or connection, and a quiet home office

Nice to have

• Experience with Australian or US recruitment markets
• Hands-on use of ATS/CRM platforms such as Atlas, JobAdder, Loxo or GoHighLevel
• LinkedIn Recruiter or Sales Navigator experience
• Familiarity with AI tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) for sourcing and copywriting
