About the role

Southern Arms Corporation is seeking a talented and motivated Recruitment Officer to join our dynamic Human Resources team. This is a full-time position based in Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental. As a Recruitment Officer, you will play a crucial role in identifying, attracting, and recruiting top-tier talent to support our organisational growth and success. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process, working collaboratively with hiring managers and other stakeholders to build a high-performing workforce that aligns with our company values and strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Source and attract qualified candidates through various recruitment channels, including online job boards, social media, networking events and employee referrals
• Screen resumes and conduct initial telephone or video interviews to assess candidate suitability and experience
• Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers
• Manage candidate databases and maintain accurate records of all applicants and recruitment activities
• Prepare job descriptions and recruitment briefs in collaboration with department heads and hiring managers
• Conduct background checks and verify candidate qualifications and references
• Provide recruitment support throughout the onboarding process for newly hired employees
• Monitor recruitment metrics and provide regular reporting on recruitment activity and outcomes
• Maintain knowledge of employment laws, regulations and best practices in recruitment
• Support the development and implementation of recruitment strategies to improve hiring efficiency and candidate quality

What we're looking for

• A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in recruitment, ideally within a recruitment agency or corporate human resources environment
• Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices, talent acquisition strategies and employment law
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with candidates and stakeholders at all levels
• Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment technology platforms
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
• Strong organisational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to identify talent potential and assess cultural fit with organisational values
• Proactive approach to problem-solving with a results-driven mindset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with social media platforms
• A professional approach to confidentiality and data protection
