Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Refinery to manage gold and precious metal melting operations, ensure process efficiency, maintain metal purity, and supervise refinery staff while following established safety standards and operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily gold and silver melting and refining operations.

• Manage furnace operations, temperature control, and metal processing activities.

• Monitor metal purity, recovery, yield, and process losses.

• Ensure accurate weighing, metal accounting, and reconciliation of input and output.

• Maintain production records, batch records, and operational reports.

• Ensure compliance with refinery SOPs, safety procedures, and quality standards.

• Coordinate with quality, production, and other concerned departments.

• Identify process improvements to reduce metal losses and improve operational efficiency.

• Manage manpower allocation, shift planning, and team performance.

• Ensure proper maintenance and safe handling of refinery equipment.

Educational Qualification

• Diploma / B.Sc. / B.Tech in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant discipline.

• Candidates with relevant technical qualifications and strong practical experience in gold melting and refining may also be considered.

Required Skills and Experience

• 4–6 years of relevant experience in gold refining, precious metal melting, or refinery production.

• Practical knowledge of melting furnaces and precious metal processing.

• Understanding of metal purity, recovery, yield, and loss control.

• Knowledge of metal accounting, reconciliation, and production documentation.

• Strong team management, problem-solving, and operational coordination skills.

• Knowledge of workplace safety and SOP implementation.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with hands-on experience in a gold refinery or precious metal processing unit will be preferred.
