Refinishing Technician

Description:

• Remove paint, fill/fair and prep rotor blades for paint.
• Ensure all product & documentation are accurate & complete per ACS quality specifications.
• Learns to be proficient on all OEM repair manuals with a complete understanding of Aviation Standard Practices per AC 43-13.
• Ensures that work orders move forward in a timely, cost-effective manner, making changes and adjustments as necessary with direction of Refinishing Department Lead.
• Evaluates & recommends improvements for procedures for quality control of products.
• Maintains safety guidelines/procedures & cleanliness of department at all times.
• Work with other team members to ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Proficient with computers and able to use relevant software.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 0-3 years of related experience with surface preparation, masking, and sanding techniques.
• Experience in an automotive or aviation environment preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing, walking and using equipment
• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform job duties.
• Must be physically able to lift up to 50lbs at a time.
• Must have sufficient visual acuity to perform detailed inspections of work for compliance with specifications.
