Working closely with surgeons, optometrists, nurses and the wider clinical team, you will play an important role in delivering safe, effective and personalised patient care.
This is an opportunity to develop your specialist clinical expertise within an established refractive surgery group, with ongoing training and exposure to a broad range of procedures and patient presentations.

- Perform post-operative consultations and monitor patients' progress following treatment.
- Carry out diagnostic examinations and scanning to support clinical assessment and treatment planning.
- Interpret clinical findings and diagnostic data to support informed clinical decision-making.
- Identify complex cases, recognise when further assessment or escalation is required, and contribute to appropriate patient management.
- Respond to patient questions and concerns professionally, providing clear explanations and appropriate reassurance.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and prepare reports as required.
Clinical collaboration and development
- Work collaboratively with surgeons, optometrists, nurses and other clinical colleagues to coordinate patient care.
- Support the management and co-management of patients throughout their treatment journey.
- Share clinical knowledge and provide training to other team members on diagnostic procedures and equipment, where appropriate.
- Participate in presentations, clinical discussions and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Undertake continuous professional development in refractive surgery and core ophthalmic skills.
- Follow established clinical protocols, procedures and relevant professional standards.

- Manage clinical and administrative responsibilities efficiently, ensuring patient care remains the priority.
- Prioritise urgent and important tasks appropriately in a busy clinical environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation and use clinical databases and office software effectively.

- Competence using computers, clinical databases, Microsoft Word, Excel, email and internet-based systems.
- A proactive, adaptable approach and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
