Refractory Specialist

Demo Plus is looking for a candidate that is interested in a full time position leading crews to preform refractory repairs around the five state area. Previous experience in refractory is required.

Travel and overnights required. Company paid hotel and Per Diem

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Manage a crew of 3-10+ guys
• Job Tracking and Daily work tickets
• CDL required
• Demolition of existing units
• Perform, plan and assist on refractory repairs on boilers, furnaces and ladels ect.
• Use or assist in use of Brokk Machine, Pump, Forklift ect.
• Knowledge and prior use of various hand tools.
• Regular, predictable attendance
• Adhere to all safety practices and procedures
• Welding, hot work
• Confined Spaces & heights

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 100lbs
• Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods of time and work in a warm environment safely
• Detail oriented; must make sure completed work is of the highest quality
• Read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents
• Problem Solver; ability to overcome obstacles and find solutions
• Balances team and individual responsibilities
• Self-Motivated; must be able to manage time and work without constant supervision
• Ability to hit deadlines in a high energy fast paced environment
• Must pass respirator fit test
• Knowledge in concrete finishing a plus
