Refrigeration and Aircon Technician

Qualifications:

·         Strong knowledge of refrigeration and HVAC systems.

·         Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.

·         Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.

·         Problem-solving and analytical skills.

·         Physical stamina and ability to work in cold environments.

·         Technical diploma or vocational training in Refrigeration, HVAC, or Mechanical Engineering.

·         Valid certification/license for refrigeration and air conditioning work.

·         Prior experience in cold storage, food processing, or industrial facilities preferred.

·         Knowledge of refrigerants, energy efficiency, and safety standards.

·         Knowledge of risk assessment, compliance procedures, and internal control frameworks

·         Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and strategic planning skills

·         Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office, etc.

Responsibilities:

1.       Equipment Uptime

·         Percentage of refrigeration and aircon systems operational (target: 98–99%).

·         Mean time between failures (MTBF).

2.       Maintenance Efficiency

·         Average time to resolve breakdowns.

·         Number of preventive maintenance tasks completed on schedule.

3.       Energy Efficiency

·         Reduction in energy consumption compared to baseline.

·         Monitoring and reporting of power usage effectiveness (PUE).

4.       Compliance & Safety

·         Adherence to refrigerant handling regulations.

·         Number of safety incidents or violations reported.

5.       Temperature Control Accuracy

·         Percentage of time cold storage maintains required temperature ranges.

·         Number of deviations reported and corrected.

6.      Documentation & Reporting

·         Timeliness and accuracy of maintenance logs.

·         Submission of compliance and audit reports.
