Refrigeration & Equipment Technician

About the role

Select Goods is seeking a skilled and dedicated Refrigeration & Equipment Technician to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, Metro Manila, this role is central to maintaining and servicing our refrigeration and cooling equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability across our operations. As a Refrigeration & Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of refrigeration systems and air conditioning units, playing a vital role in supporting our business continuity and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Installing, inspecting and maintaining refrigeration and air conditioning systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective repair solutions
• Performing preventative maintenance on cooling and refrigeration units to ensure longevity and efficient operation
• Testing refrigeration systems using specialised equipment to verify performance, pressure levels and temperature regulation
• Replacing worn or faulty components, including compressors, condensers, evaporators and electrical controls
• Documenting all service work, maintenance schedules and repairs in accurate records for compliance and reference
• Following health and safety protocols, including the safe handling of refrigerants and adherence to environmental regulations
• Collaborating with team members and management to prioritise workload and respond to urgent service requests
• Providing technical guidance and support to other staff members as required

What we're looking for

• A recognised certification or diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology or equivalent qualification
• Proven experience of at least 3–5 years working as a Refrigeration & Equipment Technician or in a similar technical role
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, thermodynamics and air conditioning systems
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment, including manifold gauges, multimeters and leak detectors
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulations, including the proper handling and disposal of refrigerants in accordance with environmental legislation
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work systematically through complex technical issues
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical fitness and the ability to work in varied environments, including confined spaces and at height where necessary
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to different locations as required
