Refrigeration HVAC Technician

I am seeking an experienced Refrigeration HVAC Technician to join a well-established and growing operation. This is a hands-on, field-based role covering a broad range of work, including installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of refrigeration and HVAC systems.

This position is suited to someone who enjoys working independently, taking ownership of their workload, and managing jobs end-to-end. You’ll be trusted to plan, prioritise, and schedule your own work, operating autonomously in the field rather than being micromanaged.

There is no daily requirement to attend the workshop — you’ll only come in as needed, giving you flexibility and autonomy in how you manage your time.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration systems
• Planning and scheduling your own jobs and call-outs
• Managing work independently in the field
• Participating in an on-call roster (1 week in every 3–4)
• Delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision

What You’ll Need

• Current Electrical Service Technician (EST) licence
• Valid Refrigerant Handling Licence
• Proven experience working independently as a refrigeration/HVAC technician
• Confidence planning and managing your own workload
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

What’s On Offer

• $45–$50 per hour, depending on experience
• Overtime available
• On-call allowance (1 week in every 3–4)
• Company vehicle, phone, and all tools/equipment provided
• Autonomous role with flexibility and trust
