Job Overview

Solutions Sample Systems provides custom, industry-leading sampling systems for accurate fluid analysis in power, chemical, and industrial applications. We are looking for a dependable, motivated Refrigeration Tech/Fabricator to join our team. Regular Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am-4:30 PM

Shift Schedule: Monday- Friday 6:00am-2:00pm/2:00pm-10:00pm

PAY & BENEFITS

· $20.00 – 35.00/hr depending on experience

· overtime @ 1-1/2 X hourly rate (field work only)

Experience:

· Fabrication, assembly, servicing, installation of industrial or residential refrigeration equipment

· Prior hands-on assembly, installation, fabrication, or field work is a must.

· Welding and/or instrument fitting are a plus.

Education:

· High School or GED

Physical:

· Able to lift seventy-five (75) lbs.

· Physically fit, can work outdoors in inclement and hot weather conditions

· Can work twelve (12)-hour shifts

Stability and Reliability:

· Arrives to work on time

· Good communication with owner, sales, design, engineering, and manufacturing functions

· Solves problems on own initiative

· Recognizes when help is needed, and requests help appropriately

· Organizes own work and uses initiative to complete assigned tasks

· Recognizes and completes routine work (shop cleanup, organization, tool upkeep, with minimal direction)

· Documents and keeps track of own time.

· Travel up to 25% of the time

· Willingness to work hard and improve skills.

SKILLS

· Brazing & soldering

· Wiring

· Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings and measurements.

· Strong attention to detail and work quality

· Positive attitude and strong work ethic

· Welding experience preferrable, including TIG & MIG, stainless and mild steels.

· Instrument fitting is preferrable.

· Basic understanding of refrigeration systems.

DUTIES

· Refrigeration unit assembly and fabrication, including piping, tubing, wiring, compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, valves, fittings, sensors, etc. in a high quality and timely manner.

· Read and interpret shop drawings, bills of materials, and work instructions.

· Operate shop tools and fabrication equipment safely

· Perform system testing, including pressurization and leak testing of refrigeration and water/glycol systems. Properly evacuate and charge refrigeration system. Ensure proper system operation including temperatures, flows, pressures, etc.

· Diagnose and resolve system operation issues.

· Miscellaneous mechanical component assembly.

· Maintain accurate records, including test and quality documents.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 per week
