REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Refrigeration Technician to join the team at SUPERB CATCH INC. This is a full-time position based in Acacia Malabon City, Metro Manila. As a Refrigeration Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, servicing, and repairing refrigeration systems that are essential to our operations. Your expertise will directly impact the efficiency and reliability of our refrigeration infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime across all our facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and associated components
• Diagnose technical problems with refrigeration equipment using appropriate testing equipment and methodologies
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity
• Charge and recover refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards
• Conduct inspections of refrigeration systems and provide detailed reports on their condition and any required repairs
• Collaborate with other technicians and departments to resolve complex refrigeration issues efficiently
• Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance and repair work completed
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times
• Respond promptly to service calls and emergency repairs to minimize operational disruptions

What we're looking for

• Completed trade qualification or apprenticeship in refrigeration and air conditioning, or equivalent demonstrated experience

• Minimum of 1-2 years of proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician in a commercial or industrial setting

• Strong knowledge of refrigeration principles, thermodynamics, and system operation

• Proficiency in using diagnostic and testing equipment such as pressure gauges, multimeters, and leak detectors

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

• Reliability and commitment to punctuality and attendance

• Preferred: Experience with commercial refrigeration systems, food storage facilities, or cold chain management

• Preferred: Knowledge of current environmental regulations regarding refrigerant handling and disposal
