Refrigeration Technician

Location: Muscat, Oman

Experience: Junior: 2–4 years | Senior: 5+ years

About The Role We are seeking Junior and Senior Refrigeration Technicians to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration and cold-storage equipment. Candidates should have hands-on experience with refrigeration systems and the ability to ensure reliable equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on commercial refrigeration equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant-related faults.
• Maintain cold rooms, freezer rooms, blast chillers, ice machines, refrigeration cabinets, compressors, and condensing units.
• Carry out refrigerant charging, leak detection, vacuuming, pressure testing, and brazing.
• Troubleshoot temperature controllers, thermostats, sensors, expansion valves, and defrost systems.
• Inspect refrigeration components and replace defective parts as required.
• Monitor system performance and maintain the required storage temperatures.
• Complete maintenance reports and document recurring equipment issues.
• Follow safety, hygiene, environmental, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Diploma, ITI, or trade certification in Refrigeration, HVAC, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Junior Technician: 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Senior Technician: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Practical knowledge of refrigeration cycles, compressors, evaporators, condensers, and control systems.
• Experience in fault diagnosis, brazing, refrigerant handling, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Senior candidates should have experience coordinating technicians or supervising maintenance activities.
• Experience in hospitality, catering, food production, cold storage, or facilities management is preferred.
