Refrigeration Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration and HVAC systems across various commercial and industrial facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and installing equipment to maintain a safe, efficient, and reliable environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration systems, HVAC units, Ice Machines, Walk in coolers and freexers
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment
• Repair or replace faulty components including compressors, motors, electrical wiring, thermostats, valves, and other mechanical parts.
• Install new HVAC systems and refrigeration equipment following detailed schematics and design specifications while adhering to safety standards.
• Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical problems efficiently.
• Maintain accurate service records, complete detailed reports on repairs performed, system conditions, and parts used for accountability and future reference.

Qualifications

• experience as a service technician with a strong background in refrigeration, HVAC system repair, installation, and maintenance..
• Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, electrical diagnostics,
• Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools for equipment repair or mechanical systems repair.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately for troubleshooting purposes.
• Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications related to HVAC/R are preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 45.0 per week
