What they need

The Arcadia Group are developers and managers of premier retirement villages across Western Australia and Victoria. We are passionate about creating welcoming communities where residents can enjoy their retirement and feel at home.

Our villages offer quality homes, shared facilities and opportunities for residents to stay active and connected. The presentation, comfort and practicality of our homes are an important part of that experience.

We’re looking for a Refurbishment Coordinator with an eye for property improvements, strong coordination skills and pride in delivering a quality finish.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will coordinate home refurbishments from initial inspection through to completion and final handover.

Based at our Subiaco Head Office, this role combines planning and project coordination with regular visits to our villages across Perth and Mandurah. You’ll work closely with contractors, suppliers, sales and village teams to deliver homes on time, within budget and ready for their next residents.

You’ll be involved in each stage of the process, from identifying what needs to be done and preparing scopes of work to organising trades, monitoring progress and checking the finished result. Keeping people informed and dealing with issues early will be an important part of your role.

You’ll also work with the Chief Operating Officer to develop refurbishment guidelines and standards. We’re looking for someone who can contribute ideas for contemporary finishes and practical design, with consideration for how residents’ needs may change as they age.

This role would suit someone who enjoys variety, builds good working relationships and takes satisfaction in seeing a home transformed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect homes, prepare condition reports and scopes of work, and coordinate refurbishment schedules

  • Obtain and compare quotes, organise contractors and track costs against approved budgets

  • Monitor works, resolve issues and check completed refurbishments against agreed specifications

  • Check contractor licences, insurances, inductions and safety documentation

  • Keep sales and village teams informed of progress, delays and expected handover dates

  • Communicate respectfully with residents and families, and minimise disruption during works

  • Maintain accurate project records, invoices and progress reports

  • Help improve refurbishment standards, quality and turnaround times

About You

You know how to keep works moving, spot something that needs attention and follow through to get it sorted. You’re comfortable dealing with trades and suppliers, and understand the care needed when working within an established residential community.

You will bring:

  • Experience in refurbishment coordination, property maintenance, facilities management, construction administration or a similar role

  • The ability to manage multiple projects, contractors and deadlines

  • A good eye for detail, quality finishes and practical design

  • Experience preparing scopes of work, comparing quotes and monitoring budgets

  • An understanding of workplace safety and basic building compliance requirements

  • Clear communication skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and project tracking systems

  • A practical, proactive approach and the ability to adapt when plans change

A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly between our Perth and Mandurah villages are required.

Why Join Arcadia Group?

Work directly with the Chief Operating Officer and help shape our refurbishment approach

Enjoy a mix of office work and site visits, with projects you can see through from start to finish
