Regional Administrator (25 hours per week)
Yellow Brick Road Northern Region – based in Grey Lynn, Auckland
Want to use your organisational skills to make a real difference in people's lives?
This isn't a role where you'll just keep things organised. You'll be the person who helps make good work happen. Behind every family supported, event delivered, staff member onboarded, and report completed, there will be a capable administrator helping everything come together.
Yellow Brick Road is a national organisation supporting whānau affected by mental health challenges. Every day, we walk alongside families, providing support, knowledge, advocacy and hope. Our vision is that whānau and communities are integral to mental wellbeing and recovery.
We're looking for an experienced and capable Regional Administrator to join our Northern Region team.
This is not a traditional administration role. You'll be at the heart of our regional operations, helping to ensure our team can focus on supporting whānau by keeping systems, reporting, projects, events, recruitment processes and day-to-day administration running smoothly.
If you're someone who takes initiative, loves creating order from complexity, enjoys working with data and spreadsheets, and wants to contribute to meaningful work in a non-clinical role, we'd love to hear from you.
About the role
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you'll provide administrative and project support across a wide range of activities, including:
- Preparing and maintaining reports, records and data
- Managing regional administration systems and filing
- Supporting recruitment and onboarding processes
- Assisting with event and meeting coordination
- Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance records
- Supporting projects and programme administration
- Helping ensure information is organised, accessible and up to date across Microsoft 365 platforms
- Providing practical support that enables our frontline teams to focus on supporting whānau.
What we're looking for
We're seeking someone who is:
- Highly organised and exceptionally reliable
- Proactive and able to work independently
- Comfortable taking ownership of tasks and seeing them through to completion
- Confident asking for support when needed
- Friendly, approachable and able to build positive relationships with a wide range of people
- Compassionate and understanding of the realities faced by people experiencing distress and the whānau who support them
- Resilient, practical and down to earth
- Committed to inclusion, equity and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles
- Respectful of diverse identities and committed to creating welcoming environments for everyone
Excel and Microsoft 365 skills are essential
A key part of this role is supporting regional reporting and information management.
You'll need to be confident using:
- Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data management and reporting
- Microsoft Word, Outlook and Teams
- Microsoft 365 systems and shared document management
- Electronic filing and record management systems
You'll enjoy working with data, maintaining accuracy, identifying trends, and helping managers access the information they need to make decisions.
Why join Yellow Brick Road?
At Yellow Brick Road, your work has purpose.
Every spreadsheet, report, event, recruitment process and system you support helps us deliver better outcomes for whānau across Aotearoa. You'll be contributing to an organisation that is making a tangible difference in people's lives every day.

- Flexible working arrangements
- A supportive, values-driven team culture
- Meaningful work with genuine community impact
