This role is specifically for the 'Components Heavy' commodity group in the China/Taiwan region. The position is critical for managing the regional supply base to optimize value, ensure resilience, and support the business objectives of Siemens Energy. To address these aims, the role is structured around three core areas: the development and execution of regional commodity strategies, comprehensive supplier lifecycle and relationship management, and rigorous commercial and contract management. This structure ensures a strategic approach to sourcing that is grounded in strong supplier partnerships and commercially sound agreements. Given the focus on these areas, the ideal candidate will be a Senior Professional with advanced knowledge and experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management within an industrial context.

  • 40% Supplier Lifecycle & Relationship Management

  • Manage the end-to-end supplier lifecycle, including scouting, qualification, selection, development, and performance evaluation for the regional supply base.

  • Establish and cultivate strategic relationships with key suppliers, acting as the primary point of contact for commercial and strategic topics.

  • Drive supplier performance improvement programs and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and supply chain resilience.

  • Collaborate with Global Commodity Managers (GCMs) to ensure the regional supplier base is effectively utilized across Siemens Energy businesses.

  • 30% Regional Commodity Strategy & Execution

  • Develop, document, and execute regional commodity strategies for heavy components, aligning with global procurement goals and business unit requirements for the China/Taiwan region.

  • Conduct continuous market analysis to monitor dynamics, identify sourcing risks and opportunities, and provide market intelligence to internal stakeholders.

  • Define and implement sourcing initiatives to achieve targeted improvements in cost, quality, on-time delivery, and lead times.

  • Ensure transparency of spend and cost structures for the assigned commodity portfolio through regular reporting and analysis.

  • 30% Commercial & Contract Management

  • Lead the preparation and negotiation of frame contracts, price agreements, and complex terms and conditions with regional suppliers.

  • Manage the contract administration process, ensuring supplier compliance with all terms and conditions.

  • Generate, document, and implement cost-saving measures, and monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as savings, supplier performance, and managed spend.

  • Partner with internal functions like engineering and quality to drive early procurement involvement, value engineering, and cost-out activities.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Significant professional experience (typically 5-8+ years) in strategic sourcing, procurement, or commodity management
  • Demonstrated experience with international projects and collaborating within global teams is required.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
