Regional Engineer

Job Purpose

As the Regional Engineer, you will play a pivotal role to assist Senior Executive, Operations in organizing and overseeing day to day operation and maintenance including coordinating permit licensing of station under Gas Malaysia Green Ventures (GMGV) to meet our company's strategic energy goals. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, external suppliers, and local authorities to optimize in operating and maintaining station under GMGV.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in organizing and overseeing day to day operation and maintenance of station under GMGV, planning the delivery schedule regularly to ensure gas supply chain are being achieved in a timely manner. Follow up on any actions, quickly address any difficulties, and escalate issues with the supervisor where necessary in order to ensure an uninterruptable gas supply.
• Assist in coordinating activities for the permit licensing related to station under GMGV in order to ensure compliance with agreements, procedures, standards and regulations for operation and maintenance.
• Prepare governance reports, plant status reports, presentations, agendas, and maintain logs related to the activities for station under GMGV and logistics in order to ensure properly recorded.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with local authorities, millers, customers and contractors in order to ensure that the relationship between the company and external party are positive and constructive.
• Assist in establishing and conducting training for operational personnel to operate and maintain the station under GMGV in order to ensure the level of competency and knowledge of operational personnel is sufficient and effective.
• Perform duties in a safe and healthy manner. Working according to the instructions and always complying with safety and health rules, procedures and practices in order to have safe, healthy and conducive working environment.
• Responsible for protecting Gas Malaysia's information assets and ensure that all breaches of information security, actual or suspected are reported in order to ensure that confidentiality, integrity and availability of all information is maintained; information is accessible to all employees according to business need and is protected against unauthorized access and at the same time meeting the contractual, regulatory and legislative requirement.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with minimum 1 years of working experience preferably in oil and gas industry.
• Knowledge in compliance related to local and international codes and standards.
• Excellent decision-making skills and good judgement as well as an interest in working with others.
