Introduction:

REGIONAL GENERAL MANAGER - KZN

· Are you an experienced leader with a passion for driving operational excellence, business growth, and client success? Hero Serv Pty Ltd is seeking a Regional General Manager to lead operations across KwaZulu-Natal.

· This strategic leadership role is responsible for overseeing regional performance, driving business development, building stakeholder relationships, ensuring financial sustainability, and leading high-performing teams across multiple sites.

· As this role operates extensively throughout KwaZulu-Natal, candidates must be fluent in isiZulu and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, employees, communities, and key stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Oversee the overall operational and commercial performance of the KZN region.

· Drive service excellence, profitability, and operational efficiency across multiple sites.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, healthcare stakeholders, and business partners.

· Lead, coach, and support Regional Managers, Site Managers, and operational teams.

· Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, quality standards, and health and safety regulations.

· Monitor financial performance, budgets, labour costs, and operational efficiencies.

· Drive business development initiatives and identify opportunities for regional growth.

· Build and strengthen networks with key stakeholders, industry leaders, and potential clients across KZN.

· Fluent in isiZulu and English (written and verbal) with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders across KwaZulu-Natal.

· Support tender submissions, client presentations, contract negotiations, and retention strategies.

· Manage client concerns and escalations to ensure exceptional service delivery.

· Travel extensively throughout KZN to support sites, clients, and business development activities.

REQUIREMENTS

· Degree in Business Management, Operations Management, Healthcare Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.

· Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively throughout KZN.

· Minimum 8-10 years' experience in a senior management or regional leadership role.

· Experience within healthcare, hospital services, catering, facilities management, or a related environment.

· Proven experience managing multi-site operations, client relationships, and service delivery contracts.

· Demonstrated experience in business development, networking, and stakeholder management.

· Strong commercial, financial, and operational management skills.

· Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and strategic planning abilities.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

· Strong operational and commercial acumen.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including fluency in isiZulu and English.

· Proven business development and networking capability.

· Results-driven with a strategic leadership approach.

· Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.

· Ability to lead multiple sites and diverse teams effectively.

· Highly organised, adaptable, and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
