Regional Infrastructure Engineer – Data Center & Structured Cabling

About the role

We are looking for a technically strong Regional Infrastructure Engineer to support the design, planning and delivery of data center and enterprise IT infrastructure projects across APAC. The role will focus primarily on structured cabling, fiber and copper infrastructure, rack & stack, equipment installation, WiFi surveys and network infrastructure deployment. This is a hands-on technical role. You will work closely with Sales, Project Managers, customers, vendors and onsite teams to translate project requirements into practical technical solutions and ensure successful implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for structured cabling and rack & stack projects across APAC.
• Review SOWs, drawings, tender documents and technical specifications.
• Conduct and support site surveys to assess existing infrastructure and deployment requirements.
• Develop technical solutions and implementation approaches based on project requirements.
• Prepare and review BOQs/BOMs, cabling quantities, equipment requirements and technical scope.
• Support Sales with technical proposals, tender submissions, solution clarification and costing.
• Plan copper and fiber cabling routes, rack layouts, patching requirements and equipment installation.
• Determine manpower, tools, materials and technical resources required for deployment.
• Provide technical instructions and guidance to onsite engineers, technicians and subcontractors.
• Supervise and support onsite installation and deployment activities where required.

About you

• 5+ years of technical experience in structured cabling, network infrastructure, data center infrastructure or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of copper and fiber cabling systems.
• Hands-on experience with rack & stack of servers, switches, network equipment and related IT hardware.
• Able to understand and review technical drawings, rack elevations, cabling diagrams, SOWs and BOQs.
• Experience conducting site surveys and defining technical requirements.
• Able to prepare technical solutions, BOM/BOQ and implementation plans.
• Strong troubleshooting and onsite problem-solving skills.
• Experience supervising technicians or subcontractors during deployment.
• Familiarity with cabling testing, certification, labeling and documentation standards.
• Willing to travel across APAC as required.
